Psallontes
-- Praise Him With Strings
The message inside this CD cover
reads... I
Corinthians 14:15 "...I will sing [play on an instrument] with the
spirit, and I will sing [play on an instrument] with the understanding
also." In this passage, the Greek word for "sing" is
"psallontes," which is from root word "Psallo." The term
implies the use of instruments and means "to make melody." The Hebrew
equivalent to "psallo" is "zamar" --meaning to strike or
pluck with the fingers on a stringed instrument.
As we "praise him with strings" in
this tapestry of sacred arrangements--all our praise is to the Heavenly father
we glorify through the devotional hymns and gospel songs.
